Highly intriguing original statistic sheets were originally obtained from longtime NHL stats man Ron Andrews and conjure up memories of the intense Canadian-Soviet battle that was Game 3 of the Summit Series held at the Winnipeg Arena. The official NHL Score Sheet filled-in by hand by scorer Ron Trumble on September 6th, 1972 recalls how Canada took a 2-1 lead after the first period with goals by Parise and Ratelle and added to their lead with another tally by Phil Esposito early in the second only to give up three goals to the Russians including one from the great Kharlamov as the game ends in a 4-4 tie. The Penalty Record sheet reveals that 9 minor penalties were called (three to Cashman) while seven other sheets deal with shots at the goal, shots on goal and who was on the ice when goals were scored. A final official document titled "Official Report of Match" lists the entire rosters of both teams along with the refs and stats officials. Incredibly interesting one-of-a-kind paperwork, with two sheets signed by Trumble, will entertain Summit Series aficionados!
