This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/16/2009
The oil drop team logo of the Alberta Oilers sits in a sea of blue on the face of defenseman Ken Baird's team ring from his time in Edmonton during the inaugural 1972-73 World Hockey Association season. This is ringed by the words "Alberta Oilers" and "WHA" with "Baird", "19" and "Defense" on the shanks. Ken Baird broke into the NHL in 1971-72 with the California Golden Seals and would go on to play six years in the WHA with the Oilers, Jets and Cowboys. Stamped Jostens and 10K inside the band, crafted in size 12. Well-preserved in excellent condition.
