Fine miniature Clarence Campbell Bowl commemorates the Detroit Red Wings' first trip to the Stanley Cup finals in close to 30 years and was awarded to members of the team after the Wings clinched the Campbell Conference title with a five-game victory over the Black Hawks, three of the games requiring overtime, including the 2-1 double overtime clincher at Joe Louis Arena. After a league-high 70 points in the lockout-shortened regular season, the Wings took care of Dallas (4-1), San Jose (4-0) and Chicago before seeing their Stanley Cup wait prolonged after being ousted in the Cup finals by New Jersey. Paul Coffey and Sergei Fedorov were the offensive leaders in both the regular and post season while the team, guided by Scotty Bowman, surrendered a league-low 117 goals. This personal miniature of the Campbell trophy was presented to long-time Red Wings head athletic trainer John Wharton. His name, engraved on one side of the handled bowl, is joined by "Detroit Red Wings 1994-95", while the name of the trophy and its 1968 year of inception are engraved on the opposite side. Silver-plated keepsake sits atop a six-sided 3-inch high wooden base and has been preserved in excellent condition. Comes from the personal collection of John Wharton and will be accompanied by a letter of authenticity.
