Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction - June 2009
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/16/2009
Frank Boucher, together with siblings Bill and Bun Cook, formed the incredible Bread Line beginning with the 1926-27 season with the New York Rangers. The Bread Line developed into one of the most formidable combinations in NHL history. They were such a perfect fit that New York coach Lester Patrick allowed them to devise plays at one end of the rink while the remainder of the team practiced down at the other. The three future Hall-of-Famers are represented in this collection with Frank Boucher (d. 1977) signing on a vintage album page and brothers Bill (d. 1986) and Bun Cook (d. 1988) autographing blank-sided 3x5" index cards. All three sigs are bold and beautiful.
