Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction - June 2009
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/16/2009
A member of the historic Rat Portage and Kenora Thistles teams, William "Billie" McGimsie helped Kenora, the smallest town ever to win the Stanley Cup, by scoring a goal in game two of the series against the Montreal Wanderers in 1907. His flowing and artsy signature crosses the lined side of this 3x5" index card in black ballpoint ink. Inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in 1962, McGimsie passed away in 1968.
