More terrific autograph offerings here with this pair of February 18, 1960 first day covers from the Winter Olympics in Squaw Valley, California. Both identical envelopes are 3-1/2" x 6-1/2" and are signed in blue ballpoint by Frank Foyston and Gordon "Duke" Keats respectively. Foyston was a centre/right wing who won Stanley Cups with the Toronto Blueshirts (1913-14), Seattle Metropolitans (’16-17) and Victoria Cougars (’24-25) and who twice led the PCHA in goals. Keats meanwhile, also played for the Blueshirts of the NHA, before several seasons with the Edmonton Eskimos of the WCHL, and NHL stints with Boston, Detroit and Chicago. A high-scoring centre, Keats was paid his due, at the same time as Foyston (1958), with induction into the Hall of Fame. Foyston died in 1966 while Keats passed away in 1972.
