Having worn No. 16 during his AHL career with the Nova Scotia Voyageurs, Yvon Lambert was unable to claim the same number when he moved up to the Montreal Canadiens thanks to the presence of Henri Richard. Lambert wore No. 21 for his NHL debut in a one-game stint with Montreal in 1972-73 before switching to his familiar No. 11 the following season when he stuck with the Canadiens for good. Claimed by Buffalo prior to the 1982-83 season, Lambert found his No. 11 was unavailable with the Sabres since it already belonged to Gilbert Perreault. Lambert settled for No. 15 because Ric Seiling already had No. 16, which Lambert reclaimed for his final two pro seasons with the Rochester Americans. This fantastic Amerks home gamer is absolutely hammered, with team repairs, stick marks and paint transfer galore. Lambert’s surname (stitched onto a white nameplate), the numbers on the back and both sleeves and the stars on each shoulder are all blue on red double-twill. The triple-twill red, white and blue Americans logo is stitched on the front of the jersey. A washed-out size 50 fly tag with laundry instructions on the reverse remains sewn into the right side of the back of the neck and a double cloth fight strap is sewn onto the lower back. The Maska logo is embroidered in blue onto the right rear tail. This sensational Americans jersey is an incredible opportunity to pick up one of the final pro jerseys worn by a four-time Stanley Cup champion. Lambert had 26 goals and 48 points and won another Calder Cup in his first season with Rochester before finishing his career with 27 goals, 43 assists and 70 points with the Americans in 1983-84. Yvon Lambert’s signed letter of authenticity accompanies this classic gamer.
