At 9:33 of the first overtime period during the Stanley Cup Semi-Finals game held on May 10th, 1979, Yvon Lambert found the twine for the game winning goal in the Canadiens’ 4-3 decision over the Boston Bruins to capture the Prince of Wales trophy and send them to a meeting with the Rangers for the Cup. The puck used to score the historic goal was saved and preserved by the team on this striking presentation plaque in wood and blue anodized aluminum. At the top, the Habs logo, followed by the inscribed (in French language) "Yvon Lambert, Winning Goal, Stanley Cup Semi-Finals 1979". The actual Viceroy Montreal Canadiens goal puck is affixed to the plaque above the details of the scoring (again, in French). Measuring 11 x 15 inches, the plaque appears to be in excellent condition. Hockey history! From the personal collection of Yvon Lambert it will come with his signed letter of authenticity.
