Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction - June 2009
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/16/2009
This great lot of two Canadiens game-worn jerseys from Yvon Lambert’s personal collection comes along with a helmet autographed by the four-time Stanley Cup champion left wing. Both jerseys are Ryan Walter gamers from the 1980s that were recycled and given to Lambert, whose surname is spelled out in twill letters that have been sewn onto nameplates. The inside of the jerseys clearly shows that a shorter nameplate has been removed. The white jersey has a size 52 fly tag in the neck and a two-tone blue on red tackle twill alternate captain’s "A" is sewn onto the left breast. A short loop fight strap remains in place on the inside back of the jersey. Both jerseys have been hammered, with fantastic team repairs, stick marks and paint transfer. The red jersey has its fight strap and a washed-out Maska fly tag. Lambert has signed the left side of the white Jofa helmet which has no straps and a pair of cracks on top. Lambert’s signed LOA is included.
