Montreal Canadiens Prince of Wales Championship Trophy After finishing second overall in their conference in 1979-80, ending a run of four straight Prince of Wales trophies, the Montreal Canadiens reclaimed the top spot in 1980-81 with a 45-22-13 record for 103 points. Yvon Lambert contributed 21 goals and 32 assists for 53 points in his final season with the Canadiens, who were stunned by a three-game upset sweep at the hands of Wayne Gretzky and his up-and-coming Edmonton Oilers in the first round of the playoffs. A plaque on the front of the wood base has "HRH Prince of Wales Trophy - Yvon Lambert" engraved on it. Another plaque on the back is engraved, "NHL Champions - Montreal Canadiens - 1980-81". This gorgeous miniature NHL trophy remains in excellent condition, with four hockey sticks providing a base for the narrow bowl of the trophy. The wood base has its original green felt pad underneath.Comes with an LOA.
