Even though he recorded 52 points in 79 regular season games, Yvon Lambert finished tied with Rejean Houle for ninth in team scoring for the record-shattering 1976-77 Montreal Canadiens. Lambert contributed 24 goals and 28 assists as Montreal became the first team in NHL history to record 60 wins in a season, finishing with a 60-8-12 mark for 132 points, a league mark that stands to this day. This is the individual trophy that was presented to Lambert as a member of the conference champion Canadiens, who went on to win their 20th Stanley Cup that spring, capped by a four-game sweep of the Boston Bruins. This sensational award has a plaque with "HRH Prince of Wales Trophy - Yvon Lambert" mounted on the front of the trophy’s wood base. A plaque on the rear reads "NHL Champions - Montreal Canadiens - 1976-77". Backup goalie Michel "Bunny" Larocque posted a 19-2-4 mark with four shutouts and a 2.09 goals-against-average to share the Vezina Trophy with Hall-of-Famer Ken Dryden, who went 41-6-8 with 10 shutouts and a 2.14 GAA. Steve Shutt scored a team record 60 goals and Guy Lafleur won the Art Ross and Hart trophies with 56 goals and 80 assists for a franchise record 136 points before capping the team’s great season with a Conn Smythe win in the playoffs. Lambert’s Prince of Wales Trophy remains in excellent condition and has its original green felt pad on the bottom of the base. This magnificent award from arguably the greatest NHL regular season team performance ever, comes along with Yvon Lambert’s signed letter of authenticity.
