After a disappointing debut with Montreal in 1973-74, when he posted just 16 points in 60 games, Yvon Lambert got rolling in his sophomore season and produced 67 points in 80 games. Playing on a line with Doug Risebrough and Mario Tremblay, Lambert put up identical numbers in 1975-76 - 32 goals and 35 assists, the exact same totals as the previous season. Lambert received this individual Prince of Wales Trophy as the Canadiens finished atop their conference before going on to win their first of four straight Stanley Cups that spring. Montreal lost just once in three playoff rounds, including a four-game sweep of the two-time defending champion Philadelphia Flyers in the final that saw all four games decided by a one-goal margin. This fantastic individual award has "HRH Prince of Wales Trophy - Yvon Lambert" engraved on a plaque on the front of the wooden base. Another plaque on the back of the base has "NHL Champions - Montreal Canadiens - 1975-76" engraved on it. The Canadiens finished first overall during the regular season with a 58-11-11 record for a league-high 127 points, nine more than the Campbell Conference champion Flyers. The trophy is in excellent condition with its original green felt pad on the bottom of the base. It comes along with Yvon Lambert’s signed letter of authenticity.
