This remarkable photo collection was given to members of the 2002 Olympic gold medal Canadian men’s hockey team. Limited to 58 editions, this unique keepsake was presented to those immediately responsible for bringing home Canada’s first Olympic gold medal in ice hockey in 50 years. This set features 24 of the original set of 25 exceptional photographic images. The metallic finish and the images are fascinating to view with individual frames of each member of Team Canada - Lemieux, Yzerman, Sakic, Brodeur, Iginla, MacInnis, Niedermayer, Blake, Pronger, Kariya, Shanahan, Lindros, Gagne, Nolan, Fleury, Smyth, Nieuwendyk, Peca, Foote, Jovanovski, Brewer, Joseph and Belfour - and a posed team photo with players wearing the red retro "Canada" maple leaf jersey and an image of Team Canada’s on-ice gold medal celebration photo reflected on the ice in front of them. Each 12" x 8" print is individually framed. This outstanding collection is housed in a classy 13 1/2" x 17 1/2" black box - the cover is actually a frame with matted images of a Salt Lake Olympic gold medal. A certificate of authenticity affixed to the back of the frame/lid reads "On behalf of the Canadian Hockey Association, Gerry Thomas is proud to present you with a custom hardwood folio of 25 Fine Art Metallic Prints." This set, #28, was presented to Edmonton Oilers massage therapist Stu Poirier, who worked in the same capacity for Team Canada in Salt Lake City.
