Memory-provoking ticket stub recalls Canada’s 4-3 win over the Soviet Union in game 7 of their epic battle for hockey supremacy in September of 1972. Series hero Paul Henderson scored his second of three game-winning goals in this one, breaking a 3-3 tie with just 2:06 to go. Phil Esposito had scored a pair in the first period which ended 2-2 before Rod Gilbert (at 2:13) and Alexander Yakushev (his second of the game at 5:15) traded third period goals. Game was played September 26th in Moscow and set up the historic game 8 two days later. Paper stub is 2 1/2" by approximately 4 1/4" with multiple light creases to mention. Tempting memorabilia from an unforgettable event and worthy of a serious Canada-Russia Series collection.
