Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction - June 2009
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/16/2009
Splendid greeting card features a colorized team photo of the 1929-30 Seattle Eskimos of the Pacific Coast Hockey League. Led by Lloyd Turner, the team is lined-up on the ice in its red, green and white striped uniforms. Included are goaltender Hal Winkler, Max Sutherland, Cecil Browne, Smoky Harris, Dan Daly, Hall-of-Famer Jack Walker, Ollie Reinikka, Art Townsend, Bobby Benson, Ernie Anderson and Tony Savage. On thin cardboard stock and measuring 7" x 4", the front has a simple "Greetings" while Lloyd Turner’s name is printed on the inside, to the left of the team photo. The front has a couple of tiny, very slightly stained areas while a corner crease at the upper right doesn’t detract from the photo. An intriguing rarity worthy of a good home.
