Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction - June 2009
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/16/2009
Vintage hockey team photo collectors have an interesting opportunity with this studio-mounted picture of the 1921-22 Circle Six Sports Club, the champions of the Kingston Junior Hockey Association. This 9 '" x 7 '" photograph from the early days of amateur hockey is still in its original wood frame. Produced by the Marrsion Studio of Kingston, Ontario, this vintage print exhibits some fading of the original image, though the original matte surrounding the photograph remains in great condition. The address of Gartland's Art Store on Princess Street in Kingston is stamped on the original paper backing attached to the rear of the 14 '" x 12 '" wood frame. A piece of hockey history from one of Canada's true hockey hotbeds.
