This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/16/2009
Gigantic framed photographic display presents the 1949-50 rendition of the Senior Toronto Marlboros Hockey Club. In 1949-50, the Marlboros captured the Allan Cup. Former Maple Leafs captain George Armstrong was a member of the senior Marlies during that season. He registered 64 goals in 45 games and a further 19 goals in 17 Allan Cup playdown games as the Marlboros captured the Canadian senior hockey championship. Armstrong is pictured here along with former NHL'er Flash Hollet and the rest of the squad in this oversized team photo presentation with attached identity plaque. Also of note, Hall-of-Famer Joe Primeau is pictured in his role as the team's coach. In excellent condition.
