Frank Nighbor, the "Pembroke Peach", was one of the most uniquely talented athletes ever to play professional hockey, becoming the very first recipient of the Lady Byng Trophy in 1925 and also the first to be awarded the Hart Trophy after the 1923-24 campaign. Frank appears here (at age 15) as a member of the 1907-08 Pembroke Debating Club Hockey Team. Nighbor would go on to an astonishing career with the Vancouver Millionaires and Ottawa Senators including four Stanley Cup victories before being honored by his induction into the Hockey Hall of Fame in 1947. This marvelous framed presentation photo brings us back to an earlier time, before all of the fame and glory. The image is mounted on a matte and framed under glass to a finished size of 18 by 20 inches. In excellent condition.
