Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction - June 2009
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/16/2009
Vintage sepia tone photograph capturing the members of the Detroit Falcons as they pose ensemble (and in dapper attire, I might add) upon their arrival at the train station in Montreal. In town to take on the Canadiens in post-season play are Alex Connell, Herb Lewis, Ebbie Goodfellow, manager Jack Adams and the rest of the boys. The following season the team would be renamed the Detroit Red Wings, and the rest is history. CPR wire photo with attached write-up on the verso. In excellent condition.
