Cowley, Clapper, Brimsek, Hollett, Bauer, Cain, Hill, Schmidt, Dumart, Conacher, Reardon - the Bruins’ big guns are all lined up with their teammates on the ice of the Boston Garden in the team photo that is front and center in this studio photo montage. Coach Cooney Weiland and manager Art Ross are among the five individual photos of team executives along the top of the montage below the heading, "Boston Bruins, Worlds Champions 1940-1", with a photo of the Stanley Cup with its cigar-shaped cylinder base on the left, and the stylish Prince of Wales Trophy on the right. Cowley ran away with the scoring championship, his 62 points - including an incredible 45 assists in 46 games - were 18 more than the five players who finished in a tie for second overall. The Bruins beat out Toronto in a seven-game playoff opener and advanced to the final, where they swept aside Detroit in four straight to claim Boston’s second Cup in three years. This vintage 10" x 16" Bruins photo montage remains in very good condition, with pin holes in each of the four corners of the print to note. A prize addition to any Bruins/Stanley Cup collection.
