A nice mix of young and veteran stars led the Boston Bruins to the 1938-39 Stanley Cup and are pictured here. Shore, Clapper, Weiland and Cowley were joined by the likes of Brimsek, Schmidt, Bauer and Dumart and Boston took the regular season title before beating the Rangers (7 games) and the Maple Leafs (5 games) in the playoffs. Mel Hill scored 3 overtime winners against New York and Brimsek held Toronto to 6 goals in the finals, giving the B’s their 1st Cup in 10 years. Original photo is in excellent condition with no major flaws apart from some minor waving under the glass. In a vintage matted and framed display and measuring a little over 10 by 16 inches in size.
