A parade of early hockey stars, each attired in the wool uniform of the National Hockey League’s Boston Bruins, line up to become immortalized in this wonderful vintage team photograph from the 1926-27 season. And, as if the photograph itself were not enough, every player has signed under his respective image in perfect and uniform fountain pen ink! Hall-of-Famers Sprague Cleghorn, Eddie Shore, Frank Fredrickson and Harry Oliver join teammates Hal Winkler, Wilfred Coutu, Lionel Hitchman, James Herberts, Percy Galbraith, Harry Meeking and Bill Stuart. The great Art Ross adds his flowing penmanship to the piece, signing below the others along the bottom edge. Stunning vintage photo, in near perfect condition, is mounted onto creamy card stock and penciled notes at the very bottom list the scores of the post season match-ups with the Chicago Black Hawks and the New York Rangers. The photograph, itself, measures a full 13 x 19 inches with the matting adding a couple of inches to those dimensions. The Bruins would go on to the Stanley Cup Finals this season, losing out to the Ottawa Senators who took the trophy in four games.
