Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction - June 2009
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/16/2009
Real photo postcard pictures the ‘31-32 New York team and has been signed on the back by 14. Fabulous fountain pen signatures include those of Hall-of-Famers Bill and Bun Cook, Frank Boucher, Ching Johnson, Earl Seibert and Lester Patrick. Others are Cecil Dillon, Vic Desjardins, Dutch Gainor, John Ross Roach, Butch Keeling, Murray Murdoch, Art Somers and Doug Brennan. A couple of creases, one horizontal, the other diagonal, are to mention, but the thought of these men passing around this card and signing it is indeed stirring. Bill Cook tied Charlie Conacher of the Leafs that year for the league goal scoring title with 34. Tempting piece for autograph/team photo/postcard collectors. Originally from the family of Hall-of-Famer Bill Cook, this amazing piece will come with a letter of authenticity.
