Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction - June 2009
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/16/2009
Ancient muted-tone photo on thick paper stock is a collage-style produced by the famed Rice Studios of Montreal. The full roster of the 1934-35 Montreal Maroons is here with the talented Alex Connell at the top flanked by stars-of-the-day Cy Wentworth, Lionel Conacher, Earl Robinson, and Hooley Smith with Dutch Gainor and Herbie Cain below. This 8" x 10" affair has a few almost invisible pin holes at the corners but has been preserved in very good to excellent condition with no significant creasing. A very rare version with all players identified in the photo.

The pages that follow are filled with incredible treasures such as original team photos of some of the earliest Stanley Cup champions that speak to the great and broad history of the game.
