Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction - June 2009
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/16/2009
Despite the loss of Bailey following the infamous fight with the Bruins’ Eddie Shore the Toronto Maple Leafs would win the Canadian Division for the second year in a row by posting a league best 26-13-9 record. However, in the semi-finals the Leafs would be stunned in five games by the Detroit Red Wings, dropping both of their home games. This vintage photograph was snapped by the famous Alexandria Studios which sports their embossed stamp at the lower left. It depicts that talented squad with the likes of Conacher, Primeau, Jackson, Clancy, Horner, Day and Bailey with George Hainsworth between the pipes. In near excellent condition housed in an ancient wood frame under glass. The image measures approximately 11" x 14" and is framed slightly larger.
