This lot of original posters from both the 1972 and 1974 Canada-Russia Summit Series includes artwork featuring portraits of all members of both editions of Team Canada. The original 1972 showdown poster involving Canadian NHL stars pictures Phil and Tony Esposito, Frank and Peter Mahovlich, Sinden, Ferguson, Dryden, Johnston, Awrey, Bergman, Glennie, Guevremont, Lapointe, Orr (what if!), Park, Savard, Seiling, Stapleton, White, Berenson, Cashman, Clarke, Cournoyer, Dionne, Ellis, Gilbert, Goldsworthy, Hadfield, Henderson, Hull, Martin, Mikita, Parise, Perreault, Ratelle, Redmond and Tallon. This vintage poster measures approximately 2’ x 3’ with each player’s birthplace and date of birth, position and vital statistics, along with their career regular season and playoff totals through the end of the 1971-72 season. The Team Canada 1974 poster is a point of purchase display (with an unused fold-out cardboard stand) in very good condition with individual portraits of all of the members of the squad of Canadian WHA stars that faced the U.S.S.R., including Gordie, Mark and Marty Howe, Hull, Backstrom, Ley, Schmyr, Cheevers, Frank Mahovlich, Tardif, Bernier, Houle, McKenzie, Henderson, Selwood, Lacroix, Walton, Stapleton, Harrison, Hamilton, Smith, Tremblay, McLeod, MacGregor, Webster and coach Billy Harris.
