The 2009 Montreal Centennial Auction
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/24/2009
Interesting piece from the Montreal Forum reveals the relatively small amount of space members of the media were allocated while covering “les Canadiens” from high above the ice surface. Heavy piece of 1 ½” thick wood represents four “seats”, with a total area of 17” x 96” of work space. Not a ton of room to spread out press notes, typewriters/computers, phones and other paraphernalia! A Plexiglas lip prevents pens from rolling off onto the fans seated below and two attached plastic nameplates identify famous hockey historian and writer Stan Fischler and Sportsticker as the media members allocated to seats 71 and 72. We think this would make a nifty bar top in your sports-related rumpus room!
