One of the greatest goalies ever to play the game, Jacques Plante used this Victoriaville Pro goalie stick during the 1969-70 season when the St. Louis Blues represented the Western Division in the Stanley Cup final for a third year in a row. Plante is one of 28 team members who have signed the back side of the paddle on a band of white tape that was placed around the stick, which still features theHall-of-Famers original tape. Noel Picard, who famously tripped Bobby Orr on The Goal that clinched the Cup for the Bruins, has signed the shaft along with Hall of Famers Glenn Hall, Scotty Bowman and Al Arbour, as well as Red Berenson, Jean-Guy Talbot, Barclay and Bob Plager, Terry Crisp, Phil Goyette, Frank St. Marseille (who has signed in two places), Gary Sabourin, Ernie Wakely, Ab McDonald, Tim Ecclestone, Cliff Fletcher, Larry Keenan, Bill McCreary, Jim Roberts, Terry Gray and Norm Dennis. Plante is factory stamped on the shaft of this fantastic gamer that exhibits plenty of use. The stick remains undamaged, other than two discreet mounting holes drilled through the top of the paddle and shaft for display purposes. Comes along with a letter of authenticity.
