The 2009 Montreal Centennial Auction
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/24/2009
Acquired from the New York Islanders during the 1998-99 season, veteran American defenceman Scott Lachance played 74 games with the Montreal Canadiens over parts of two seasons. Lachance, who was selected fourth overall by the Islanders in the 1991 draft, wore this red Canadiens No. 20 Pro Player jersey during the 1999-2000 season, as evidenced by the NHL 2000 patch sewn onto the right breast. A white Pro Player logo is embroidered onto the right tail along with a silver and black NHL crest. The jersey’s original fight strap is intact, as are the laundry instruction fly tag in the left inner seam, and the Pro Player tag and completely washed-out size fly tag in the neck. The “CH” crest is red and blue tackle twill and white embroidery, and the numbers on the sleeves and back are white and blue tackle twill. The jersey exhibits really nice game use with lots of cuts, nicks and board burns on both sleeves, particularly around the elbows. It comes along with a letter of authenticity from the Montreal Canadiens, signed by Rejean Houle.
