Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction - October 2007
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 10/23/2007
One of the game’s most memorable enforcers, Marty McSorley returned
to Edmonton late in his 17-year NHL career, suiting up for the Oilers
46 times during the ’98-99 season. Marty’s blue Oilers road jersey
includes CCM, Elite Sportswear and size 58 tags in the neck and
exhibits light game use. A scrape in the Oilers crest above the “S”,
a good 1-inch burn near the right elbow and a few other light burns
on the same sleeve are notable, along with a double skate lace fight
strap. A label sewn in the inner rear hem indicates “Edmonton Oilers
Set #3 98/99”. Impressive jersey was worn by a tough defenceman who
in his first go-round with Edmonton, helped the Oilers to two
Stanley Cup championships. An LOA will be included.
