Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction - October 2007
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 10/23/2007
An important cog in Detroit’s Stanley Cup championships teams, Sergei
Fedorov donned this red air-knit Red Wings road jersey in helping
Detroit to top honors in 2001-02. The wings totaled 51 wins and a
league-high 116 points before going all the way in the playoffs to
drink from hockey’s ultimate prize for the third time in six years.
Thirty-one regular season goals and 19 playoff points were part of
Fedorov’s contribution. Sergei’s size 52 Koho jersey features some
20 black marks on the front, a dozen on the back and four one-inch
team repairs on each sleeve. The cuffs are slit about an inch at the
seam. Screening on the inner rear hem indicates a “2nd Set” jersey
and a certificate of authenticity from Hockeytown Authentics will
accompany the shirt, worn by a great two-way player who has averaged
a point a game in racking up over 1100.
