Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction - October 2007
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 10/23/2007
A key member of the Boston University Terriers before joining the
1979-80 United States National Team and then winning a gold medal at
the Lake Placid Olympics, defenceman Jack O’Callahan’s 7-year NHL
career included two seasons with the Devils. Jack helped New Jersey
to come to within one game of the Stanley Cup finals in ’87-88 before
injuries led to his retirement after the following season. Red knit
Devils road jersey has a faded “52” on the Maska Ultrafil tag in the
neck, while “O’Callahan” is stitched directly across the back (no
nameplate). Moderate wear with most of it on the back; significant
red paint transfer and two V-shaped team repairs are in the right hip
area, with a couple of burns and more red paint on the right sleeve.
Cool older Devils shirt.
