Lanny potted 500 regular season goals throughout his career, but his final post-season goal was the sweetest! Lanny's last shot found the twine at the back of the net and captured the Flames their first Stanley Cup in 1989. Pristine white Sandow durene uniform worn brifely by Lanny towards the end of the 1980-81 NHL season while with the Colorado Rockies. This all sewn-on durene Rockies style is very popular with collectors and has become highly sought-after. "McDonald" crosses the nameplate above his familiar number "9". This jersey was worn for a single game and then given to a Rolex ad executive, according to longtime NHL trainer Keith Parker who later re-obtained the shirt. Action shots of Lanny for a Rolex print ad show him wearing this style with no captain's "C". Wear is light, as would be expected but does include two light stick marks on the front, another on one elbow, puckering of the crest and light pilling inside the arms. Loop style fight strap in the tail. From the collection of Keith Parker who obtained the bulk of the Rockies game worn jerseys and equipment as the head equipment man for the New Jersey Devils when they started up in 1982-83. Comes with a detailed photographical letter of authenticity from Rich Ellis at Spirit of the Game.
