Overtime Christmas Auction #9
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 12/5/2006
Great pieces of memorabilia from the forever popular World Hockey Association are these full, unused tickets to the league's fourth and fifth annual All-Star games. The ticket from the 1976 game at the Coliseum in Richfield, Ohio pictures Andre Lacroix and Paul Shmyr and is in crease-free near mint condition. Cleveland Crusader Shmyr ended up being the MVP of the American Division stars who however were beaten 6-1 by the Canadian Division's best which included Quebec's Real Cloutier who fired a hat trick. The 1977 game was played at the Hartford Civic Center and saw the "East" beat the "West" 4-2. Earning MVP honors for their respective teams were Minnesota's Louis Levasseur and Winnipeg's Willy Lindstrom. Seldom seen ticket has multiple light creases and an insignificant pink ink mark on the back. Great pieces for a WHA/ticket collection.
