Overtime Christmas Auction #9
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 12/5/2006
Intriguing lot features congratulatory and best wishes telegrams which Boston Bruin great Johnny Bucyk received during his Hall of Fame career. One delivered to the dressing room at Toronto’s Maple Leaf Gardens on January 16, 1968 wishes good luck to Bucyk and Bobby Orr for the All-Star game and is from Bruin G.M. Harry Sinden who apologizes for not being able to attend. Most of the remainder congratulate “Chief” on milestone goals, including career goal numbers 250 and 400, along with the ones which tied and broke Milt Schmidt’s record as all-time Bruins scoring leader. Interesting pieces from the pre-cell phone era!
