Overtime Christmas Auction #9
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 12/5/2006
For those piecing together the very first hockey card set by Imperial Tobacco comes this group of seven cards in “off” condition. The Frank Patrick card (#1) is slightly trimmed near the left corner and has paper loss and back damage while intriguing is card #32 (McNamara) which was miscut originally and otherwise VG with a single light horizontal crease through the middle. The Riley Hern (#22) and Moose Johnson (#30) cards are the most presentable with no creases but “Arnold Mitchell” stamped on the backs. A Harry Hyland card (#10) is G with the same name on the reverse and the two remaining cards, 4-Holden and 21-Laviolette, are trimmed. Still a decent group of mostly Hall-of-Famers for pre-war card enthusiasts.
