Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2020

Intriguing to many this stash will be, (from the original/only owner), with VG+ and VG-EX examples showing up the most often. Next numerous are VGs, with definitely some EX-or-better to be discovered, along with a small percentage of low graders. Creases, when present, tend to be tiny corner affairs, although the Willie Mays card has a light side-to-side crease, light surface scuffs and corner/edge wear; G at best in our book. Other stars in our title are in the VG to VG-EX range, (with the exception of Roberts (lone black back and G)), similar to Reynolds, Mize, Minoso RC, Erskine and Branca. First Series cards (1-80) total 69, with one lonely high number; 320-Rutherford RC (VG+) and plenty more details and photos on our website – check’em out.
First Series notables (at least VG+ or a tad higher) are #s 4-Lenhardt, 5-Jansen, 13-Wyrostek, 24-Easter, 28-Priddy, 48B-Page, 63-Pollett and 78-Kinder, while in the G vicinity are 2-Runnels RC (upper right corner issue, scrape on the reverse), 20-Loes SP RC, 65-Slaughter, 66-Roe and 76-Stanky. …..Cards numbered from 81 to 250 total 109, with 200-Houk RC, 215-Bauer, 227-Garagiola, 237-Coleman, 246-Kell and 310-Metkovich all at least VG+. There are (14) SPs in the high 200s (289-Holmes is VG-EX+) but most exhibit a crease/wear, with (52) cards numbered from 251 to 310 for a grand total of 231 – all different. A wonderful chance for those who have yet to commence a ’52 Topps project, or interesting resale value, is on the block here.
