This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 9/24/2024
The first season the famous "Cubs" moniker was employed, Chicago finished in first place in the National League in 1907 to claim consecutive pennants. The Cubbies would go undefeated in the World Series vs Ty Cobb and the Detroit Tigers, winning four games with one tie. This rare mini decal bat from the season is 12" in length with a dark patina finish. There is a small Frank Chance cameo to the left, with a banner and globe sporting "World's Champions", "1907", "Cubs" and "Jack Pickett - Chicago" to the right. The decal is entirely intact, with some expected wear to the bat. As a point of reference, this bat sold for $2400 with buyer's premium in 2010.
