This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/16/2020
Celebrating what many refer to as the “Golden Age” of baseball, we have a wonderful vintage program collection of 31, ranging from the 1930s to 1970s, with a large east coast concentration, with both New York and Boston clubs primarily featured. Highlighted by a scored 1967 World Series Game 7 program, there is also a fairly clean 1947 Yankee Stadium World Series program (unscored). First, representing the most successful team in history, we have Yankee Stadium programs from 1947, 1949, 1950 (3, with each scored), 1962 (scored), 1965 and 1966, followed by a NY Giants program from 1948 with a pair of stubs from the game. Next, there are Brooklyn Dodgers programs from 1949, 1950 and 1953 (scored), scored Boston Braves programs from 1937, 1949, 1950 and 1953, and Red Sox programs from 1938, 1941 (scored), 1949 (scored), 1967 (scored), 1969, 1970 (2), 1971 and 1978.
Also included in this neat vintage baseball program lot, we have an opening day Washington Senators ticket stub from 1968, a 1966 NY Mets program (scored), Washington Senators programs from 1958 and 1967, and lastly, a copy of Who’s Who in Baseball, from 1950. The majority of the programs in the collection exhibit light to moderate wear, with heavier wear to the earlier examples, with the odd crease, tear, detached page or rusty staple.
