The Toronto Blue Jays brought the first World Series title to Canada in 1992 when they defeated the Atlanta Braves in six games. “Toronto Blue Jays World Champions 1992” surrounds the World Series logo superimposed over a maple leaf in the middle of the face of this team-issued Tiffany & Co. watch that was presented to former executive/media consultant Charlie Cipolla, whose name is engraved on the backplate. Nicely and cleanly preserved with no obviously apparent scratches, the watch comes as presented to Cipolla with its Tiffany & Co. velvety black display case and light blue presentation box. Also included are tickets from the Blue Jays first game in 1977 and first game at SkyDome in 1989 and a Blue Jays SkyDome pin.
“Charlie Cipolla” is engraved on the “Portfolio ™ by Tiffany & Co.” backplate of the watch, which also has “Stainless Steel Back Waterresistant Base Metal Bezel 18K Gold Electroplated 10M Swiss Watch” engraved on it.
The light blue Tiffany & Co. presentation box with “Charlie Cipolla” on a sticker affixed to the side displays handling that includes wear to the edges and a dent to one of the corners of the bottom of the box. The four corners of the lid are torn.
The 1977 Blue Jays opening game ticket is encased in Lucite, that has various scratches to the face. The 1989 SkyDome inaugural game ticket has been placed in a Lucite holder. The ticket has light stains along the top edge and on the corners.
