Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Spring 2019
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/18/2019
The last active player from the 1997 and 1998 Stanley Cup-winning Detroit squads, Tomas Holmstrom spent 15 seasons in Motor City, with a gold medal won with Sweden at the 2006 Winter Olympics. We have a milestone stick that saw action during his 1,000th NHL contest in 2011-12 according to our consignor, with “1,000” handwritten in silver on the underside of the lower shaft. A Warrior Widow model, Holmstrom’s nickname of “Homer” appears in factory graphics over the upper shaft, with the original single black tape strips over the blade and red cloth wrap over black on the handle. There is also a factory code and serial number/bar code on the underside of the shaft.
The blade and lower shaft have been sprayed black, with the stick showing light use, with just a bit of wear present to the shaft and underside of the blade.
