Initiating the close of one chapter of Pittsburgh hockey and the beginning of another, Mario Lemieux concluded his remarkable Hall of Fame career in 2005-06, seeing action in 26 games while a young Sidney Crosby was just starting to make his mark with the club. Honouring his final NHL contest, this Penguins jersey has been signed by the superstar, with the desirable last game “12-16-05” notation added. A Reebok model with “56” sizing along with a tackle twill team crest and numbers, “Lemieux” has been placed across the affixed nameplate, with matching alternate crests over each shoulder. Mario has signed the first reverse “6” in white, with the notation added beneath, with both displaying beautifully. The limited-edition number of “62/66” has been placed above near a Reich hologram, with a matching COA from the company to accompany. *** Please note this lot is a part of the 'Mario Lemieux Pittsburgh Penguins "1985 Rookie of the Year", "1991 & 1992 Stanley Cup" and "Last NHL Game" Signed Limited-Edition Jerseys (3) with Annotations' lot, with both separate bidding per lot and bidding on the entire group.
