Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2018
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/6/2018
A rare opportunity, Classic Auctions is pleased to announce yet another partnership with the historic Montreal Canadiens franchise, one that will bring to auction a large and impressive bounty of jerseys fresh from the vast and seldom offered holdings of the storied hockey club. Examples are present from 2003-04 to 2014-15, with both important game-issued and game-worn jerseys offered, with a direct line from the actual player and the Canadiens franchise – to you, our loyal bidders. Each desirable jersey has inventory numbers from the Canadiens, with each to be accompanied by a letter of authenticity on Canadiens letterhead.
Another beautiful matched set, we have a pair of Canadiens jerseys from 2009-10, with home and away examples, with each issued to and prepared for Dustin Walsh’s (home) and Brock Trotter’s (away) use. Each jersey features size tagging along the collar (58-Walsh/56-Trotter), with embroidered NHL and Reebok crests over the front and back necklines respectively. Styled with the most famous and recognizable team crest in hockey, both V-neck sweaters have been accented with tackle twill sleeve and verso numbers, with each respective player’s name across the nameplate in single twill. The Trotter jersey also sports the Canadiens centennial crest over the right shoulder. Issued but never worn, each jersey remains in wonderful condition. Team patches numbered “A02966” (home) and “A01766” (away) sit on the inside hems, while holograms affixed to the reverse numbers of each match the accompanying LOAs from the Canadiens.
