Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2019
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/26/2019
Scoring one of the longest overtime goals in NHL history in 1933, Ken Doraty spent seasons in Toronto and Detroit in-between his time in the IHL. We have a signed 1933-34 World Wide Gum Ice Kings card of the Stittsville native, with this example encapsulated and certified “AUTHENTIC AUTO” by PSA/DNA. Signed to the left of his image in pencil, the signature is bold and displays well, with the card itself in low grade, with corner wear and a few faint stains. The reverse has also been heavily damaged, with most of the text obscured, with glue and paper residue left from prior scrapbook removal. Doraty would leave us in 1981 at the age of 75.
