HOF center Alex Delvecchio received this silver-plated tray and gravy boat to commemorate the Detroit Red Wings 1954-55 regular season and Stanley Cup titles. After claiming their record seventh straight Prince of Wales Trophy, the Red Wings beat Montreal for the second year in a row in the 1955 final to win the Cup for the fourth time in six seasons. Historic Red Wings championship set from Delvecchio’s personal collection conjures up wonderful memories of Howe, Lindsay, Sawchuk, et al. Features a tray with "National Hockey League, League Champions and Stanley Cup Winners 1954 – 1955, Detroit Hockey Club. Inc., Alex Delvecchio" engraved on it along with a gravy boat. Comes with its original cardboard box and Alex Delvecchio's signed LOA.
The tray measures 6” x 10” and has some scratches and a few small areas of tarnish that do not diminish its display. The gravy boat is 8” at its longest and 4 1/4" at its widest with light scratches. The back of the tray and bottom of the gravy boat each are inscribed “Heritage” along with “1847 Rogers Bros.” and “9413” with “I” “S” markings in boxes.
The cardboard box has Delvecchio’s name and NHL handwritten on it.
