Surviving relics from the famous Olympia in Detroit are few and far between, especially unique representations featuring clubs of the Original Six era. We have exactly that, with a large Toronto Maple Leafs vinyl banner that saw active duty according to our consignor, hung with pride on the exterior of the noteworthy hockey venue each and every time the Blue and White visited Motor City. Massive for its intended purpose, the double-sided banner measures roughly 7 feet by 11 feet and most likely hails from the 1970s, with tackle twill letters sewn-on, along with grommets inserted over the canvas seam to facilitate mounting. In wonderful condition considering its former outdoor use, the banner exhibits some toning/darkening to the affixed white letters, with some minor staining/discolouration over the canvas seam.
