Always a hit with collectors, we have a great group of vintage pucks totaling 9, including 5 examples with their original boxes, with the collection highlighted by a pair of rare D&M pucks from the 1930s including an extremely scarce orange version. The second D&M puck (circa 1936-37) features its original box, with other boxed examples from Wright & Ditson (1940s/50s), Seamless Rubber (1950s) and Monarch (late-1960s), with the final example marked “Official League Professional”. The unboxed pucks include the aforementioned orange D&M example followed by a 1942-50 NHL Art Ross game puck, 1967-68 Art Ross Converse puck and late-1970s Viceroy practice puck.
The boxed D&M puck shows thorough wear with thin initials carved into the reverse, with the 2-piece box heavily stained, with two of the corners torn on the bottom. The W&D puck appears unused with nice logos, with just minor wear to the box including toning. The orange D&M puck shows dirt staining with a green film is spots, with this puck able to be cleaned if so desired by the winning bidder. Next, the remaining 3 boxed pucks are all in excellent condition, with a white film covering the Seamless Rubber puck along with a torn bottom flap section of its box. The final three unboxed pucks all display well and remain in excellent condition, with some toning/staining to the 1942-50 NHL Art Ross and 1967-68 Art Ross Converse logos.
