Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction June 2018
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/19/2018
Celebrating the fabulous HOF career of the all-time winner of the most Stanley Cup championships as a player, we have a gorgeous 10K gold and diamond Henri Richard tribute ring. Produced by Jostens, this ring has his number 16 front and center on the tableau and includes 18 diamonds. Set onto a large red stone, it is encircled by the Pocket Rocket's name in sloping letters, along with "1955" (the year of his first game with the Habs) and his retirement year of "1975". One shank has a raised "358 Career Goals", while engravings on the hockey stick blades below reference a number of accolades from Richard’s career. The opposite side features an image of the old Montreal Forum before its renovation in 1968, Henri's facsimile signature above and the date his #16 jersey was retired in 1975 below. Richard's signature also is engraved on the interior of the band of the size 10 ring which is stamped "Jostens 10K". This limited-edition ring is numbered 2 out of 10. A large flip-top wooden display box with a golden facsimile signature is included, with a Richard signed LOA to accompany.
Scratches are present along the band, with heavier wear along edges, with a few small dings and grooves visible from use. The four corners beneath the tableau along with the slanted and raised letters bordering it, have also been worn-down to varying degrees.
