Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2011
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/1/2011
This early-1970s Quebec All-Stars junior hockey jersey was worn by Pierre Larouche on his way to developing into the first player to score 50 goals for two NHL teams. Larouche starred for Sorel of the QMJHL, setting a league record in 1973-74 of 251 points, a Canadian junior mark that stood for a decade and has only been surpassed by Mario Lemieux. From Larouche's personal collection, this tie-neck knit beauty is fashioned on the Canadiens' white sweater with a red-white-and-blue "Etoiles du Quebec" crest sewn on the front and blue-and-red number "24" in double twill sewn on the back. Please see our website description for more information about this jersey, which comes with Pierre Larouche's signed LOA. A Bauer 50/50 cotton-rayon blend laundry instruction label is sewn into the back of this game-worn jersey, which measures out to a size 40. The back of the jersey displays red and blue color bleeding from the numbers.
