Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2020
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/26/2020
Splitting his time in the WHA between the Toronto Toros and Birmingham Bulls, Paul Henderson would see action in a trio of seasons with the latter, with a pair of additional seasons after the club transitioned to the CHL. From his second season in Alabama in 1977-78 where he scored 66 points in just 80 games, we have a stick used by legendary Team Canada superstar, Paul Henderson. A Victoriaville Pro Pattern SOM model, “Henderson” appears over the upper shaft, with “19” handwritten. The original black tape remains over the blade and white over the handle (spiral pattern, now darkened), with the striping accent intact. Light use is exhibited on the lumber, with wear to the taped section of blade and a few marks near the heel section, with some minor paint transfer over the shaft. A signed LOA from Paul Henderson will accompany.
